University Drop-In Sessions

AppalCart is undergoing a comprehensive service review and wants to make its service even better. Whether you're a regular rider or just thinking about trying AppalCart, we'd like to hear your ideas.

The following drop-in sessions will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in room 124A of the College of Education Building:

  • 9:30 - 11 a.m.
  • 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • 1 - 2:30 p.m.
  • 2:30 - 4 p.m.

Boone, NC Public Transportation

AppalCart is the transportation authority serving all of Watauga County with 12 fare free bus routes in the Boone area, and 10 van routes throughout the county. All 22 routes are open to the public. Trip tickets for rural routes cost $20.00 and can be used on van routes. Passengers over 60 years old can register at the Project on Aging and then get picket up at their homes for transportation to senior centers, doctors offices and grocery shopping at least once per week.
