BOONE—The Craft Enrichment Program at Appalachian State University is offering 22 summer classes to local community members. Registration is now open.
The classes are taught by craft artists with local and regional reputations. Most classes meet over multiple weeks, with most held on Appalachian’s campus. These lively, creative classes provide opportunities for hobbyists as well as advanced students, and affiliation with the university is not required. Class cost ranges from $135 to $190.
New classes this summer are sewing fundamentals, bead weaving and Adobe Photoshop. Additional class offerings are glass fusing and slumping, video production, batik fundamentals, digital photography, drawing, basket making, stained glass, jewelry making, glass bead making, pottery for all skill levels, acrylic painting, oil painting, quilting and weaving.
