BOONE—The Grant Wallace Band will perform March 26 at Appalachian State University. The free performance begins at 6 p.m. in Broyhill Music Center’s Recital Hall. The public is welcome.
Band members are Ben Hjertmann, voice and mandolin; Chris Fisher-Lochhead, viola; and Luke Gullickson, piano and guitar.
The trio of musicians-composers is known for incorporating new music, modern jazz and old-time folk styles in their performances.
Their program will include “Isle of Apples” by Hjertmann, “The Game of 58 Holes” and “This is a Drawing Lesson” by Gullickson and Fisher-Lochhead’s arrangement of “Trouble in Mind” and “I Wish I Were a Mole in the Ground.”
