BOONE—Appalachian State University’s fall career fair, CareerFest, will be held Tuesday, Sept. 29, from noon to 4 p.m. in the Holmes Convocation Center on campus.
The event will feature 130 employers and showcase internship and employment opportunities for Appalachian students and alumni. Participating organizations represent diverse areas including technology, healthcare, human services, transportation, construction, retail, consumer products, and the government and nonprofit sectors.
Organized by Appalachian’s Career Development Center, the fair is expected to attract several hundred job and internship seekers. Some employers will conduct first-round interviews Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
“Many recruiters will also be seeking interns, so we encourage all students to visit CareerFest even though they might not be seeking full-time employment yet. The employers welcome an opportunity to network with students and faculty,” said Susan McCracken, director of career development and economic engagement.
