BOONE—Douglas Miller (clarinet) will hold a recital at 8 p.m. Sept. 20 in the Broyhill Music Center’s Rosen Concert Hall at Appalachian State University. Bair Shagdaron will accompany Miller on piano. Both are faculty in the Hayes School of Music.
Miller’s recital will include selections originally composed for piano, violin and piano, voice and piano, but transcribed for different instruments: “Tango from Espana” by Spanish pianist Issac Albeniz; “Salut D’ Amour (Love’s Greeting)” by English composer Edward Elgar; and “Aria” by French composer Jacques Ibert.
