During Appalachian State University’s 2016 Homecoming celebration, alumni and families joined students, faculty and staff for a weeklong celebration. Pooja Adial, a senior cellular/molecular biology major, was named the inaugural “Top of the Rock” recipient.

Mikayla Sage and Cameron Small are winners of Appalachian’s 2016 ECRS Computer Science Innovation and Entrepreneurship scholarships

Both Sage and Small are first-year computer science majors. Each receives a $4,000 per year scholarship in addition to $500 each year for materials such as software or a computer application for research, which the ECRS scholarship promotes.
