BOONE—Prospective students and their families are invited to experience life at Appalachian State University at Fall Open House, Sept. 26, in Holmes Convocation Center.
Meet faculty, tour campus and learn about financial aid, scholarships, admissions and more during the event.
The day begins at 8 a.m. with student performing groups and videos, then a family assembly from 9-9:30 a.m. followed by an information fair until noon. Mini sessions from 10 a.m. until noon will cover freshman admissions and scholarships, diversity at Appalachian, education abroad, financial aid, The Honors College, First Year Seminar, the general education program and residential learning communities. There will also be student and faculty panels and the opportunity to meet admissions counselors.
Student Ambassadors will provide tours of campus from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., with guided tours of residence halls and academic departments from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
A special information session for transfer students will be held at 10 a.m. and again at 11:30 a.m. Individuals requesting reasonable accommodations due to a disability for events should contact the Office of Disability Services at 828-262-3056.
