App State’s online bachelor’s programs and online graduate programs in business, education and nursing — offered through App State Online — rank among the best in the nation for 2023, according to U.S. News & World Report’s “2023 Best Online Programs” rankings.
App State student-athletes extend 3.0+ GPA streak to 21 semesters

The Mountaineers ended the fall 2022 semester with a 3.13 semester GPA for all student-athletes, contributing to a 3.21 cumulative GPA for all student-athletes. The semester average jumped 0.13 points from fall 2021 to fall 2022. Additionally, 190 student-athletes earned recognition on either the Chancellor's List or Dean's List.

App State University Recreation (UREC) is featured in the November/December 2022 issue of Aquatics International magazine, receiving the publication's "Best of Aquatics" distinction for its innovative programming. App State students — senior international business major Nick Worley, senior mathematics major Libby Young, senior exercise science major Ali Hibbard and graduate student Micah Carroll '22 — helped UREC assistant director of aquatics Cheryl Eddins create the concept of paddleboard dodgeball.
