During its March 29 meeting, the Appalachian State University Board of Trustees conferred emeriti status on 10 individuals and approved the promotion and/or tenure of 54 additional faculty members.

Dr. Leonardo Flores named chair of Appalachian’s Department of English

Flores joins Appalachian from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, where he has served as interim director of English since 2017. He will assume his new position as chair of Appalachian’s English department in July.
