John Barton, a junior industrial design major at Appalachian State University, was awarded the Celia Moh Scholarship for the 2017-18 academic year. This prestigious annual scholarship is awarded to just five students nationally and includes full tuition, room, board, books and fees for Barton’s senior year.

Appalachian faculty member awarded prestigious Rome Prize Fellowship

Tricia Treacy, assistant professor of graphic design in Appalachian State University’s Department of Art, will attend the American Academy in Rome as part of a six-month design fellowship beginning this fall. Just 30 artists and scholars nationwide receive the competitive Rome Prize Fellowship annually.
