App State’s Dr. Erin Peters has helped bring new life to the layered history of the ancient Egyptian Temple of Dendur — the subject of the Met’s “Dendur Decoded” virtual reality experience. Her work on the project provides opportunities for App State students to explore their classroom studies in a real-world context.

The eighth class of App State’s Appalachian Police Academy comprises 15 graduates who are sworn North Carolina police officers working with the App State Police Department while they complete their degrees at App State. To date, the academy has trained more than 150 sworn police officers.
