    The program will feature chamber music composed or arranged for multiple clarinets and/or piano, and it will feature two selections arranged for clarinet choir. Andrea L. Cheeseman, a professor of clarinet at Appalachian, directs the Appalachian Clarinet Choir, a 19-member ensemble, and she coaches the smaller ensembles.

    The plant, called Spiraea virginiana, has been on the federal government’s list of threatened species since 1990. It dwells solely in white water, high-gradient streams in drainage from the Tennessee, Cumberland and New rivers in North Carolina.
