    App State paleontologist Dr. Andy Heckert has embarked on a Fulbright journey that will take him to Earth’s Northern and Southern hemispheres, where he will study and compare two fossil collections from the Triassic period. His research may yield new insights into how the evolution of ancient vertebrates set the stage for today’s ecosystems.

    Five App State business students made university history with triple wins in the 2021 Chartered Financial Analyst Institute Research Challenge. In addition to state and regional titles, the students won the Americas Regional round — a first for App State — and advanced over nearly 1,000 teams to compete as a top five team in the challenge’s Global Final.
